New cloud operations centre opens in Dublin

The Dublin site will run European cloud workloads and adds around 200 engineering and operations roles over two years.

DUBLIN — RIKAISO has opened a cloud operations centre in Dublin, its sixth site worldwide. The centre runs European customer workloads and hosts the round-the-clock operations team that monitors availability, patching and incident response for the region. It is powered entirely by contracted renewable electricity.

The site opens with 60 employees and is expected to grow to around 200 engineering and operations roles over the next two years, with hiring focused on site reliability engineering, security and data platform work. European customers can request that their tenant is placed in the Dublin region from their existing administration console; no contract change is required.

"Running the platform close to the customers who depend on it is not a detail, it is the job," said Mika Andersen, Chief Executive Officer at RIKAISO. "Dublin gives our European customers a second pair of hands awake at three in the morning."
